New Zealand IFBB Figure Pro Show in 2009
2009 sees a new dimension to IFBB pro shows in the Southern Hemisphere with the addition of the New Zealand South Pacific IFBB Pro Figure to be held on March 15, 2009 in conjuction with the mens pro show.
Promoted by Moe El Moussawi, the show is to be held in Auckland and offers $6,000 prize money amd the top 3 qualify for the 2009 Olympia. This is the first figure pro show to be held in the Southern Hemisphere, and also the only international figure pro show listed.
Combined with the 2009 Australia Grand Prix and 2009 New Zealand Grand Prix, these 3 shows make the Southern Hemisphere the most active region outside of the USA, and also the largest surge of IFBB pro shows outside of the USA for quite a few years.
Top Australian figure pro Rosa-Maria Romero has already signalled that she may compete, and we can guess the some of other Southern Hemisphere pros may also make showings - Jacqui Jarret, Arina Manta and Donna Jones.
