Yes Michelle absolutely!

Those basics apply to both males and females. I'm no expert by any means but in my experience the only thing to vary is quantities for males versus females and the fact that there are some female specific supplements out there in addition that can be very beneficial.

There are female specific multi vitamins and things like EPO (Evening Primrose Oil) that has many benefits for women as well from what I know.

I'm sure there are many other women on this forum with a better knowledge than me on supplements and nutrtion specific to females that could be more helpful to you but I hope that answers your question!?

regards,

Tim

Hi Tim my question is why turn PRO with no INBA comps for you in OZ except olympia this year. I would have loved to see you and trev go head to head again.

A brief bragging interruption. Tim is on the inset cover of the latest issue of Australian Natural Bodz, which has a feature article on him.

Edit: I accessed the full size cover and witched the attachment below from the small pic...

Hi Patricia, sorry I've been a bit slack in checking this thread lately.

training split... I'm loving my current split which goes like this;

Monday - Back & Hamstrings
Tuesday - Shoulders & Traps
Wednesday - Rest
Thursday - Chest & Abs
Friday - Quads & Calves
Saturday - Biceps & Triceps
Sunday - Rest

It has been a goal of mine to turn Pro Natural since I competed in my first INBA Olympia in 2003. I was expecting it to take more time as the other Pros like Warren Clampit have a few years on me. It was very unexpected earning my Pro card from last years result. I figure why not take the step to the next level giving myself a new goal to work towards - to be competitive within the PNBA!

No doubt Trev and I will go head to head again, it's only a matter of time before he wins the Olympia overall... who knows he just might step up into the Pro line up at this years Olympia!?

Understandably there are very few Pro shows in Australia other than this years Olympia. In the past Pro/am or 'Gold' divisions have been run at state shows and the Australian Titles a couple of years ago held a Pro division. I live in hope that there might be more of this to come! Otherwise I plan to travel overseas to compete when I can and don't be surprised if you see me on the stage of another federation!

Hi Tim

First of all congrats on your Olympia win in 2008. You are an inspiration to all natural bodybuilders.
My question involves the mental aspect of competitive bodybuilding.
I have only been competing for two years (Masters 40+) and I am happy with my progress to date. My issue is that I have a lot of energy, focus and drive in all aspects related to training, dieting and competing.
Unfortunately a lot of my enthusiasm ends up evolving into wayward training, and overtraining.(eg. I recently ran 10km every day for two weeks before a show to drop bodyfat - you can imagine what that did for my legs).
My mind often exceeds my bodies capabilities, which occasionally ends in injury.
I also find it very, very hard to have a rest day as I get older.
Have you ever experienced (or heard of) this issue? And, if so what can you recommend I channel my energy toward that will be beneficial to my competitive bodybuilding aspirations.
