We are extremely pleased that Tim Martin [aka "Goldy"] has generously agreed to assist this website and it's readers. Tim is one of Australia's top natural bodybuilders, and won the overall title at the 2008 INBA Olympia to achieve INBA/PNBA pro status.

What supps are good for just general training? I don't mind paying for things that work but don't waste to waste money on poxy crap.

Thanks for your time here as well mate

Sorry for the delay in responding, I just got back from a very hectic 4 days at Filex.

These are what are most important in my opinion and experience for 'general training';

Multi VMA (Vitamin, Mineral, Antioxidant) get a good sports Multi not crap like supermarket Multis etc.
Vitamin C
Vitamin E (Natural Vitamin E, there's a big difference between that and synthetic)
Fish Oils

Protein Powder (many to choose from but one that's predominantly WPI or a WPI/WPC Blend)
L-Glutamine (most underated and underused supplement IMO)

Then if your budget allows I would also consider the following;
Creatine Monohydrate
Glucosamine, with MSM and Chondroitin (joint repair formula)
Beta-Alanine (something I've been using for a while now and highly rate!)

Hope that is of some help, hit me up if you need any further help or explanation.

Cheers,

Tim

If Centrum is crap, what isn't? I thought a Multi was a multi!

Tim;

Any advice for us 'ageing' mortgage holders, kids, full-time work who really want to get back onto stage, (a) for the enjoyment of competing again (or first time perhaps) and (b) as a goal to get rid of the 10years of I need a drink and some hot chips because of the stressful day weight!!!

Obviously taking into account lack of finances for supplements, and lack of time for excessive training regimes!

Thanks for your input, it's always good to see the successful people willing to help out those still climbing the ladder.

Cheers.
