This show doesn't sound too Elite to me.

It says on your blog (Patricia) that competitors who place top 5 or top 3 in their class (depending on what class you compete in) will all qualify for the Elite class.
Since when has placing 5th been considered good enough to be Elite?

It sounds pretty fucked-up to me.
Surely just the winners should qualify, not the placegetters or those who couldn't even place.

If you do the maths, it means that 65 people will qualify for the Men's Elite class - this is not very Elite IMO.
The reality is that you'd be lucky to get 65 competitors for the whole show, so in other words anyone who competes will qualify just for showing up.

Last year they had that Polish guy winning who probably would've placed in the Pro division!
I see that you can only compete this year if you live in NZ, Aust or the South Pacific Islands.
Does this mean the Europeans are not welcome this year?

I have not heard of any Australian's going over to do the show.
Perhaps one or two may hold their condition after the CCI or a few may peak early and do it before the NABBA comps, but I have not heard of any team.

Will watch this show with interest.

And so it will be

Class winners only qualify for the Elite...

Update June 18th below...

Quote:
Due to a high numbers of Figure Girls concerned with having to have a one piece outfit (swimsuit costume) which is another major expense towards their Event preparation, I have removed this.

It is now back to two piece bikini for round two.

The other changes is also to be in line with the Criteria & Rules of the Elite Event which governed by the IFBB Elite policy.

It is now only the winner from each class at the Prejudging will proceed to the Elite Finals for the prize money.

All Athletes from overseas such as Australia, Oceania & the South Pacific Regions will proceed direct to the Elite Finals. Former or current Nationals, Oceania, Australasian or South Pacific Champions.

Any Athletes from the above that are not of the Elite standard will need to compete in their respective class at the Prejudging to qualify to compete at the Elite Finals for prize money.

However, he/she must win that class.
