Its not often that Kiwi bodybuilders come to Australia and loose.
They seem to do very well here and bring over very competitive teams.

I think you will see more and more coming over and stealing our titles as the local NZ bodybuilding scene is pretty crap from all reports.
All the Kiwi's I speak to are sick and tired of how the shows are run over there, all feds included.

I think you will find that local Aussie shows like the CCI and the NABBA Southern Hemisphere who are actively chasing NZ competitors will attract more and more competitors from NZ.
The CCI looks like getting at least half a dozen this year which is very exciting!!

Alex Simays won my show last year and he is from NZ so they are not coming here to make up the numbers.
The Aussie's will have their work cut out again but its great for the sport and will certainly help lift the standard in both countries.

It shits me that they keep coming over here and beating us, but I love having them here, they great people who are very friendly and easy going.
Hopefully this year we will kick their arses for a change!!

Topic has passed about Jon Davie but I can confirm first hand he's a kiwi cos he's my trainer leading me up to my first figure comp end of Sep. He even wore his All Blacks cap when I went to the gym with him. Big guy and super nice. I'm a kiwi too. He said most kiwi chicks have punga legs...I'm hoping I don't!

Here's some NZ beef for you, Alex Simays, taken after he placed 2nd to Charlie Duca at the 2007 CCI.

And yes we count Charlie as an Aussie hahaha.
